These are the Mary Babes.
Mary Engelbreit used to have a few retail stores around the country, and one of them was in Bellevue, Washington.
All these Babes worked in the Mary Engelbreit store at the Bellevue Mall. Most of them did it just to feed their habits, although Diane Drennon worked full time as the store manager so I think she actually took home a paycheck.
Like I say, the others were there to feed their habits and were able to take home quite a haul of Mary stuff using their employee discount and part-time paychecks.
After the store closed they remained friends and still get together for Birthdays to exchange Mary Gifts.
If they heard about some store having a sale on Mary Engelbreit stuff, even if it was hours away, they would use it as an excuse to hit the road.
I think they have a secret handshake and probably chant when nobody else is around.

Not shown are Honorary Mary Babes (HMBs) Chris Carroll and Brooke Uhl. They didn’t work at the store, but became semi-hooked due to their association with and the influence of Brenda Ann Kessler. They couldn’t help it. It was infectious. If you have a bunch of Mary Engelbreit stuff around your house, you understand.
